Milford Haven Round Table are pleased to announce this Year’s Carnival Queen Competition.
Judging will take place in the Lord Nelson Hotel Function Room on Sunday 16th May between 3pm and 5pm and as always is open to all females under the age of 12 (accompanied by a responsible adult).
Not only will the winner have the honour of being this year’s Carnival Queen but she will also be seated on the actual Royal Throne which was used as part of the official opening of the South Hook LNG Terminal. This was kindly recently donated to the Round Table by this year’s official sponsor, South Hook LNG.
In addition to the Carnival Queen Winner, four attendants will also be chosen, and ALL participants on the day of the competition will go away with a free goody bag voucher.

Milford Haven Round Table are pleased to announce details of this year’s Milford Haven Carnival.
Planning for this year’s event is well underway and the date is confirmed to be Saturday 3rd July 2010. As with past years, the Carnival Procession will commence at Waterloo Square at 1.00pm and culminate at Milford Haven Football Club, Marble Hall. Float Entries from any pub, club, street, school, business or any other organisation / individual are now invited (please see contact details below). As in previous years, there will be £100 Contribution to all Floats that include more than 15 participants (vehicular or walking). Prizes will again be awarded based on Entry Class PLUS the Overall Best Float Entry Prize of £1000 – yes £1000. Click here to download an application form.
Milford Haven Round Table are proud that they have recently celebrated their 50th Charter and therefore 2010 will be the 50th year they have organised fund raising Events in the town, for the townspeople. Starting 50 years ago with a simple Garden Party, they have also organised over 45 Carnivals, Donkey Derbies, Raft Races, Big Weekends, Firework Displays, plus many more varied public events. All these successful and much enjoyed events have been put on by the relevant Round Tablers at that time, all giving up their time and energies in the interest of putting on Entertainment for the Townspeople. This year’s Carnival builds on these past 50 years heritage and experience and is set to be one of the best Carnivals Milford Haven Round Table has ever planned and staged.
With the valued support this year of South Hook LNG as the Official Headline Sponsor for their 50th Year, the Round Table are pleased to announce that the Main Arena at Marble Hall Football Club will be transformed into a magnificent Circus Arena, having booked “The Festival Circus” Company.
The “Festival Circus” brings the magic of the circus alive, with a fast-moving and spectacular performance featuring a host of circus skills, like daring trapeze, amazing juggling, dazzling acrobatics and of course, the circus clowns.
The “Festival Circus” became famous as the first circus ever to perform at Buckingham Palace, at the invitation of Her Majesty the Queen, and this “all-human” show includes both traditional and contemporary circus styles, guaranteed to delight young and old alike, with laughter, thrills and spills.
Further details of the Procession content, other Carnival Entertainment, and the all important Carnival Fairy Queen Contest (to be held in mid May), will be announced in local press over the coming weeks.
